Family Dartmoor Walk
Saturday 7th July 2018
Join our first Step Out Moor on Dartmoor family walk to raise awareness of Stroke in the South West.
I hope this walk will encourage Stroke survivors their family and friends along with your four legged friends to join me in Stepping Out on Dartmoor for as far and as long as you would like.
We have a great team that will walk with you for 1, 5 or 10 miles over the stunning scenery of Dartmoor. You can decide on the day how far is good for you and if you would like to go further out on Dartmoor but not hike back we will have cars to ferry you back to the start point. Any distance is good!
We have a small entry fee of a minimum £20.00 by way of a direct donation to the Stroke Association through the Just Giving link below. So you are welcome to donate more and select gift aid where appropriate. For the £20.00 donation you will receive a Doggy Bandana (S,M or L) a Stroke T-Shirt (S,M or L) and a Conquer Stroke Wrist Band.
If for any reason you are unable to join us but would like to make a donation please feel free to do so through the Just Giving Page.
Our walk will take us along Dr Blackalls Drive looking out across the stunning Dart Valley, you will learn the history of the area while you walk with your family. We will have stopping points along the way with a stunning glorious Dartmoor view at Mel Tor, one of my favourite Tors. From here you can carry on up to the fabulous peak of Sharp Tor with our guides or simply enjoy the view with a local ice cream.
Anyone interested in landscape photography Malcolm will be on hand to advise how best to capture the scenery as you go with what ever camera you have.
I hope you can join us.
